Happy Valentine's Day all!! I realize that as I write this it is no longer officially Valentine's Day, but as you will learn in my next post it is still Valentine's Day for the upstairs family. But anyway, sticking to the date of the 14th... Another great day!!! I slept a bit later than I had intended to, but that is sort of an everyday occurrence. As my roommates have learned it is very difficult to wake me up, but thank God I have them because eventually they are able to yell loud enough to wake me so I don't miss any classes or tours.
Today I slept until about 11, with just enough time to get ready for the day and meet Andrew at the Embankment Tube station so that we could all go and see the National Portrait Gallery. I am so sorry, no pictures again today. I know that in the past that hasn't really stopped me but I kind of didn't want to get kicked out of this place, because the paintings were so pretty!!!! We looked thorough a couple of different galleries including the portraits of the Tudor rulers and the Stuart Rulers. We discussed the changes in styles and colors used and the personality which shows through each of the different portraits. After a few hours of seeing some pretty spectacular (and a few downright creepy) paintings we finally came to the end of our trip and headed back home.
Shockingly when we got back to Earl's Court it was already about 5:00 and Jenna, Hannah, and I were really hungry so we went out and got some gourmet burgers. Well I got a burger, Hannah got the chicken, and Jenna got the felafel. Jenna has become quite addicted to felafel, and I can't really blame her, they are delicious!! All of the food was great, and didn't last very long...

Yup, those pictures are of graffiti. This is some of the nice artwork which we were able to admire while we searched for the entrance to the tiny abandoned station where the plays were held. I wish that I had more to say about the plays but they were not exactly what I most enjoy about a show. Some of the actors were great, but over all it was difficult to hear, and even understand when you could hear them talking, and it was three plays in one so it had an odd pattern making the overall show confusing.
When we were done at the plays everyone went back to the flat together. Jenna and I made a pit stop at the local grocery store though. We had to pick up large quantities of chocolate in order to drown our sorrows, oh sorry I meant, celebrate Valentine's Day. Jenna and I had a little game tonight where we counted how many guys we saw that was carrying flowers to take home to some lucky girl or guy. We counted 26, which yay for those people getting flowers, but after that we needed a treat of our own! The rest of the night was again about relaxing, but also catching up on some ignored duties we needed to take care of. So yay blog is caught up on!!
But Hannah is talking in her sleep now, a sign I have been up too long. She seems to be enjoying her sleep though. From what I could make out of what she was saying, "I am so excited you have no idea...!" Hahaha!! Please don't be mad at me Hannah, I just never want to forget that moment!
Ok bedtime. Happy Valentine's Day all!!
