Hey all!! I am sorry that I missed posting yesterday, it has been a bit of a slow weekend with not too much to report, with that I am very happy to say that I was able to catch up on my sleep, twas glorious!!
On Saturday a group of us did take a nice trip to Notting Hill.

There is a market that is there every Saturday that we were able to check out. It was kind of expensive but I found some really pretty rings that I was able to get for a decent enough price. A lot of the clothing shops were really fantastic. One in particular had amazing hand made dresses and such that were so colorful and beautiful, the lady was kind of forward and abrasive, however, and most of us felt intimidated and had to get out of the shop. For the most part the day was just about window shopping.

By the time we got back it was already late afternoon and so there were no more adventures for the day. The upstairs family (the name given to all of the students living on our floor) all had a simple dinner together consisting of pizza and chips (oven baked fries). In honor of the day a bunch of us were going to watch Notting Hill and just veg out with some snacks and a bottle of wine. And so with that plan set a few of us started to scour the internet for a free version of the movie. What we sadly found, however, is that all of the websites which we are so fond of back home do not work in the UK. Oh we were all so pleased. So with those two hours of our lives that we will never get back we finally found a free movie and so spent the night watching Model Behavior. If you do not understand the sad and pathetic tone that last sentence brings to this post you obviously are not a 90's child. Still the night turned out to be a great time full of joy and laughter (ah how corny!!).

And now we come to today, Sunday, the day of rest. And yes, we did in fact live up to this day's reputation. Some people decided to have ambition and do something today, but haha, not Jenna, Hannah, and I. But do not despair parents reading my blog today was not a total waste as we did manage to catch up on homework!! Yay responsible college students!! I honestly wish I could tell you more about today but it really was just resting, homework, laundry, skypeing, and dinner.

It was my turn to cook dinner tonight, which I was sooo excited about!! In case you don't know I love to cook! I subscribe to a couple of recipe sites and I love making things for other people. Tonight I made my specialty, Lasagna, which after an incident over the summer that only a few people will understand the reference to, I feel the need to always capitalize Lasagna. I must say that I feel it turned out quite well. I am not use to cooking for nine people and so it was in slightly small portions that we ate tonight but everyone seemed to enjoy it.

I don't know, it seemed like a pretty big dish to me, but it went really fast!! After dinner we went back into relaxation mode, mostly watching television shows that we have been missing since we have been out here. Overall I would say it was a pretty nice weekend. Tomorrow is the start of another busy and productive week. I can't wait to see what adventures lie ahead.
